Review
I received A Knight on the Old North Shore: Tales and Poems by Mary Ruth Pursselley for free for only an honest review of A Knight on the Old North Shore: Tales and Poems by Mary Ruth Pursselley.
A Knight on the Old North Shore: Tales and Poems by Mary Ruth Pursselley begins witha word from the author where Mary Ruth Pursselley introduces A Knight on the Old North Shore: Tales and Poems to the reader.
A Knight on the Old North Shore: Tales and Poems by Mary Ruth Pursselley has four beautifully written tales and poems that are each about two Microsoft Word pages long. The beautifully written tales poems are titled :
- A Knight on the Old North Shore
- Shift
- Man of the Road
- Butterfly Song
While I enjoyed reading all of the tales and poems in A Knight on the Old North Shore: Tales and Poems by Mary Ruth Pursselley; I would have to say that Shift was by far my favorite. Shift is a tale about a woman who begins to notice small shifts or distortions in reality by a set of train tracks at first she thinks there is something wrong with her eyes or that she is goring crazy, but as the day goes on and she drawn to the tracks the cause of the shift is revealed. A man stands at the center one she seems to recognize as if from a dream and he speaks to her and simple says," I’ve missed you so much". Shift is a mix between a real word adventure, a sci-fi book, and a romance with a true love in the end. I would really love it if the author, Mary Ruth Pursselley, expanded Shift into a full out book.
I enjoyed reading Old North Shore: Tales and Poems by Mary Ruth Pursselley and I am now interested to read some of her other books. I really liked how this Old North Shore: Tales and Poems by Mary Ruth Pursselley was kept short and sweet. If I had a single complaint about A Knight on the Old North Shore: Tales and Poems by Mary Ruth Pursselley it would be that it was a short book. I would have loved to have read more tales and poems by Mary Ruth Pursselley. It is truly a great short book to enjoy on your Kindle or desktop.
