Review
As I wrote at the top "I was sent a free copy of Blessed Are Those Who Mourn by Kristi Belcamino in exchange only for my honest review of Blessed Are Those Who Mourn by Kristi Belcamino."
Blessed Are Those Who Mourn by Kristi Belcamino is the first of Kristi Belcamino's that I have read it is also the first book in the Gabriella Giovanni Mysteries series that I have ever read. I have no knowledge from any of the Gabriella Giovanni Mysteries series books, my review is based as a reader of only this book.
I honestly found Blessed Are Those Who Mourn by Kristi Belcamino to be rather dry reading. The book was very factual like and it was almost like I was reading a real murder investigation for the beginning of the book. It was honestly a struggle for me to keep reading. Which was a real disappointment because I had myself all read to love this book from the description alone. Blessed Are Those Who Mourn by Kristi Belcamino did get better as the book went on, but there was a big chunk that I had to force myself to keep reading to get through it was like a giant block standing between me and the good book.
Blessed Are Those Who Mourn by Kristi Belcamino was very realistically written, which is part of what made it so dry to start. I did eventually warm up to the book, but if I had not been reading it for a review I would have put the book down after twenty or so pages of reading. The characters were well written and the plot was realistic it was just the delivery and the time line that fell through.
I would recommend Blessed Are Those Who Mourn by Kristi Belcamino to only people who are interested in realistic murder books. If you want to read Blessed Are Those Who Mourn by Kristi Belcamino be ready for a slow and dry start that takes a while to warm up and get going.
