Review
As I wrote at the top of this hub "I was sent a free copy of Love Everlasting (Brides of Seattle) by Tracie Peterson in exchange only for my honest and unbiased review of Love Everlasting (Brides of Seattle) by Tracie Peterson."
As many of my readers already know: I do read romance books for review, but I will always prefer a good fantasy, Sci-Fi, suspense, mystery, thriller style book. Romance is okay for me, but I tend to prefer something with some action and fight in it.
Love Everlasting (Brides of Seattle) by Tracie Peterson begins in Seattle, Washington Territory August 1889. I truly prefer books that have a strong female in it not the typical damsel that requires rescue. In this book Abrianna is a young woman of twenty-one who has a strong heart and spirit. Abrianna gets herself mixed up in things she should have avoided, but she does it for the right reasons. Abrianna also gets herself out of trouble she does not rely wholesomely on some prince on a white steed to save her; she saves herself.
My one problem with the character Abrianna was how naive and trusting she was. She discover multiple girls in awful condition in the basement of the man she was courting and she believed him when he said he knew nothing about it. All it took was him hiring someone to see the girls home and she believed him innocent of human trafficking. I mean what kind of person would truly believe that he was innocent when he clearly was guilty and everyone around her knew he was guilty.
I enjoyed this book to a certain degree, but after reading it I would not buy another book in the series. I just prefer books that move faster and have a plot that includes some sort of action in it. This was just a little too kiss-kiss for me. I would have prefered a murder plot thrown in or at least a missing persons case. However if you enjoy romance then you will most likely enjoy this book, though I do warn you that it is slow to start.
