I had never heard of Mitchel Whitington prior to receiving The Midnight Saint by Mitchel Whitington. I am a fan of supernatural and paranormal books, movies, and TV shows, but I myself do not believe in the supernatural.
Instead of being in chapters the book is separated into days; there are twelve days, a epilogue, and 161 pages in the Midnight Saint by Mitchel Whitington. The books is about how Adam is told my Saint Lucia that he is going to die and that she will visit him the next twelve nights, on each night he may ask saint Lucia one question which she will answer to the best of her ability. On the last night and only the last night Adam may ask a question about his own death. I found Adam's questions interesting and Lucia's responses to them even more interesting. The questions and answers leave you wondering about death and the beyond.
SPOILER ALERT
The book, the Midnight Saint by Mitchel Whitington, ends with a epilogue that leaves the reader wondering how much of the book is fiction and just how much of it might actually be truth. I really loved the fact that Adam did not die Saint Lucia never said that he would die at the end of her visits just that he would die. She even said to Adam that she never knew when or how he would die just that like all mortals he would die. The book gives both Adam and the reader a new appreciation for life. It truly gives more meaning to the saying live everyday to its fullest as if it were your last. Adam truly learned to live his life only when he thought it was about to end.
Overall I enjoyed reading The Midnight Saint by Mitchel Whitington and I would read more of Mitchel Whitington's books if the opportunity to do so ever presents itself. I would recommend this book to anyone with a fear of death. I would also recommend this book to religious fiction fans. This The Midnight Saint by Mitchel Whitington is truly a good book for any person to read as it is filled with true life lessons.
