As our use of technology has increased, our communication skills have decreased. We text when we should talk. We tweet firings and breakups. Technology creates the illusion of being in touch, but we lose the deeper meaning conveyed by body language, facial expression, and tone of voice. What we need are real, face-to-face conversations. Have we lost that art? With the right skills and tools, anyone can feel more confident handling a tough conversation.

— Mike Bechtle

Whether it's with a spouse, a friend, a boss, a co-worker, or children, tough conversations can create high anxiety. Communication expert Mike Bechtle offers practical help. He shows readers how to build strong relationships and teaches tried-and-true methods to navigate the muddy waters of tough conversations. Review

As I wrote at the top of this post in the disclaimer "I was sent a free copy of You Can't Text a Tough Conversation by Mike Bechtle in exchangeonly for my honest and unbiased review of You Can't Text a Tough Conversation by Mike Bechtle."

A little bit about myself so you can understand my interest in You Can't Text a Tough Conversation by Mike Bechtle. I am a Southern New Hampshire University online student working towards a bachelors degree in psychology, a certification in Human Resources Management, and most importantly for You Can't Text a Tough Conversation by Mike Bechtle a minor in communication. I was interested in this book from a communication student stand point.

I honestly expected You Can't Text a Tough Conversation by Mike Bechtle to be rather dry. So I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised by You Can't Text a Tough Conversation by Mike Bechtle. You Can't Text a Tough Conversation by Mike Bechtle is not one of those dry college books instead it is a book meant to draw its reader in to learn about healthy communication.

My favorite chapter of You Can't Text a Tough Conversation by Mike Bechtle was the "How the Elephant Got in the Room". This chapter talks about resolving problems before they become the elephant in the room and to dealing with the elephants while they are still babies. Now what this means is people need to talk about problems both before the problem actually happens and while the problem or issues is still young so it does not become a major issue or problem.

Overall I found You Can't Text a Tough Conversation by Mike Bechtle to be a very interesting read. You Can't Text a Tough Conversation by Mike Bechtle taught me a lot about communication I would say that You Can't Text a Tough Conversation by Mike Bechtle was more helpful than most of my textbooks for learning about communication. Unlike a textbook You Can't Text a Tough Conversation by Mike Bechtle was inspiring and grabbing. I would recommend You Can't Text a Tough Conversation by Mike Bechtle to any communications student or professional, any person wanting to learn more about communication, and anyone having communication problems with their friends and/or family.
